Explore 150 years of Canadian food and wine history, like never before!
On February 9th, Vancouverites will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Canada’s epicurean history at a pop-up Edible Museum.
The Edible Museum of Canadian Food and Wine will feature some of Canada’s most beloved foods and most awarded VQA wineries. Throughout the exhibition guests will have the chance to taste some of Canada’s finest culinary moments while learning interesting nuggets about our vast and diverse wine landscape.
The museum will be broken into sections and immersive vignettes similar to those found at natural history museums, playing host to moments in our culinary and winemaking history. Produced with the help of multi-sensory event design team Here There Studio, the Edible Museum will be a delicious look at our country’s incredible contributions to food and wine, giving guests the opportunity to sip and savour their way through Canadian history.
Throughout the exhibition, information and historical references will inform and educate museum guests, illustrating how food and wine has evolved together over the course of our 150-year history.
Tickets to the Edible Museum are available online. Each ticket includes tastes from select VQA wines as well as edible bites from top chefs throughout the journey of the exhibition. One hundred percent of all ticket proceeds will be donated to the Great Vancouver Food Bank – a local charity that provides food and assistance to those in need throughout Vancouver.
